New Works to be added to Gallery!

Well, once again it’s post-Christmas winter time and everybody is feeling a little bit slooooow, myself included.

In an attempt to remedy this, I bring you all a few bits and pieces from a little fanzine I’ve been working on. It’s focus is the instinctual, primeval responses from people with regard to professional boxing. There’s an animalistic quality to the enjoyment of observing (or taking part in) controlled fighting. It appears to exist outside of everything we are taught is acceptable within our constructed society, but still has an immense following.

Okay, that is hamming it up a little bit, it’s really just a fun little project where I get to draw animals in boxing gloves.

The final product will be in the form of a non-fiction book about the best fights in boxing (based on Ian Welch’s Greatest Moments of Boxing). I’ve taken a few specific fights to document and have adapted the names of the fighters accordingly with accompanying illustrations.

Hopefully those that enjoy a good bit of boxing will approve!
